Hi...now that I lost my posts AND membership...think I got things back up and runnin'!

Just curious if I might be able to save some money on the frozen bloodworms/brine shrimp and offer some live foods to my guy? He's about 6" now, and the LFS where I got him doesn't sell live food. What are my options, and what would it take for me to do it?

Thanks!

I know you can buy packets of brine shrip eggs, but I'm not sure how to culture them or anything, if you can't buy them at your store you can buy them here

In the summer you can leave a two liter bottle of water out in the sun and grow all sorts of critters.
Sorry I can't help too much :/

brine shrimp would be ok but you need to make sure you strain them through a net ton remove salt first. the best live food would be bloodworm, smal or chopped earthworms or white worm. you will probably find it will work out more expensive to feed live food and there is a risk of introducing nastys such as parasites.

ste :)
