Black Ghost Knife

I was wondering if anyone could tell if a ghost knife that had about a inch to a inch and a half bit off his tail if it will grow back???

If the spine is damaged, no I'm pretty sure it won't. Most animals that drop their tail and grow them back don't have bones in the parts that drop off, but rather muscle. Biting bone off end the animals ability to fix a certain section of it's body.

The knife is doing great still swimming properly and eating.

well then u wont have to worry, youll just have bgk with a shorter tail is all, lol

yeap as long as the knife is well, it doesnt really matter much. however you might want to add some med to the tank to aid its healing. aquarium salt should do fine.
