I've just purchased a pair of Black Ghost Knife fish, I'm a bit worried as one appears to be sleeping on his back on the substrate and ther other is sitting in a plant on his back. Looks like he has placed his fin over a leaf to make him comfortable. Every now and then they have a little swin for less than a minute, then resume thier positions.

I know they are nocturnal, but are they dying or just very laid back cool dudes?

Thanks
Michael

Don't let it worry you, mine did that all the time.

They like a cave or similar to hide away in during the day, mine used to lay under a piece of bogwood

Thanks, it's been a few days now and I'm getting used to thier behaviour. They do look healthy when swimming around, I think the answer to my question is cool dudes!

They are such cute little characters when they are small. Cheers, Joemuz

Hmm yeah they do that alot so don't worry..

On another note, according to your profile (unless I am reading it wrong) you are keeping it with tetras, guppies etc?
If you are, you can say goodbye to them as it grows .

Just a heads up about that...

Rob
