Black Clown Loach

Does anyone know why clown loaches become darker? MY other 2 and looking good but there is one that has become really dark around his head and his stripes and fins have darkend. The tank hasn't finished cycling yet (silly me for putting fish in!!) Is he stressed out? He is rather lethargic and he doesn't appear to have anything else wrong with him. Should i be concerned? (please don't mention about the cycling I am already concerned about that!) Does he have an illness? Thnx for you help, Lorna

How many gallons or ltres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
What are your water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
When fish are stressed they can go pale or dark in colour.
No gurantees that a fish in a cycling tank will make it as its takes it toll on a fish having to go through the ammonia and nitrite process, can even cause the fish immune system to shut down.
