Black Apple Snail?

Bit of background info...

My tank has just finished cycling, im on my qualifying week of clear results. Its a 15g tank and I have 2 mollys and 1 molly fry in at the moment.

I am going to slowly stock with 5 harlequin rasboras, 5 glowlight tetras and 6 sterbai corys.

I have live plants including, Amazon swords, vallisneria spiralis, vallisneria nana, cabomba and a marimo ball. I am going to be adding bogwood with java moss and maybe some willow moss as a carpet.

I want a black apple snail, but i don't want one if it will eat my plants.

Any ideas whether it will eat my plants?

Hi,
have a look on www.applesnail.net cannas are the ones to avoid they grow bigger and eat plants brigs are the good ones and come in more colours, the snail site has pics shaowing the differences. I made the mistake of getting cannas now i have a tank that is plastic plant only lol, i keep my brigs seperate.

looks like a canna, they state in the add that it will eat plants, brigs have a more pointed shell cannas look flatter, where abouts are you from? there are people on here that sell the goodies
