Hi all, I just came on here from aquahobby.com(so I'm not exactly new)but I was wanting to start a black and white tank, now if that don't sound wicked enough I was thinking about putting a red betta in there. Now would that look cool? Or am I just going crazy? :fish:

I have a blacka nd white tank but theres a dark blue fish in it so it doesn't really batch but i don't have any red ones soooo. :/

now when I say black and white tank I mean black and white plants, white gravel, and black rocks and caves. Also when you think of fish to put in there you would think of adding black or white fish right? Well I was going to put a red betta in there to make it look kinda like it had been placed in a twilight zone episode. It sounds awsome to me. :pepsi:

Ya know what would be even more freaky. Have a 5g tank and divide it in half. Then have one with all black decorations and one with all white. You could even put a black background and and white background. Then put a white betta on the black side and a black betta on the white side. Uber freaky. I'm not sure if that would stress the fish, though. It seems like a fun plan in theory. I would not do it as I like more natural settings, but if you into that sort of thing, why not go all the way with it?

I'm just going to give a red betta his own 10 gallon, but I don't think it would stress him out, I read this one story on aquahobby where a kid put lego's in his fish's tank and his little fish could never had been happierer.

That sounds like it would look totally wicked! Great idea! :hyper:
I have a red plakat (Valefor in my sig) in a tank with black rocks as substrate. It has a green plant so it's not totally black, but he does show up very well and it's one of my fave betta setups.
