Hi there

I 'm not new to the hobby exactly, but I'm not all that experienced either, as I've just had one fairly easy to maintain tank for a couple of years. I want to downsize to something that looks more stylish but I don't want to compromise on the spec. I hear BAD things about biorbs, and I presume the biube is much the same. I love how the biube looks though - can you remove the kit it comes with, and use your own filter system etc? And take out the rocks on the bottom?

Hopefully I haven't missed this info elsewhere - I did scout around first. Any advice gratefully received! :)

i had an Orb, and i will agree they are rubbish.
Trying to remember how the Ube works, but i would guess you can take all the old stuff out and put whatever you want in it. But, i bet there is a cheaper way because BiUbes are very expencive in a cost / volume basis.

Also, beware that you can only every have small fish in these things(like neon tetra etc). Bigger fish need more horizontal space than they do vertical, so BiUbes dont make much sence.

Personally i would say dont do it.
