:-( as some of you may remember i posted a while back about my dog buzz having problems after surgery! basically he had ligamnets removed from his knee was given the all clear and then 2 6 months on became very lame and struggled to get about.......... this is sad for him as he has collie breed in him and is only 5 so has so much energy!

anyway he is going back to see th specialist on monday so hopefully we will get to the bottom of the problem as i want my boy to be well again! will let you know how he gets on! am hoping it wont cost too much as insurance wont pay out anymore for same condition!

That is such a shame - and all fingers and toes crossed

I have to say though that this is where a lot of pet insurance companies make their money. They either put a cap per condition (it's generally far too low) or will only pay for up to one year of chronic illness. If this happens to be something like cancer or diabetes or heart conditions etc. etc. etc. the owner is just about skr*wed really.
It might cots less than those that cover irrespective with no cap for life - but too often we had people (as a vet nurse) who had to put their animals to sleep because they could not carry the long term cost.

Sorry Laura ! Don't want to put a dampner on things, but it's an oportunity to point out to others to read the fine print and understand exactly what the insurance covers.

All the very best !

i mean what ever it costs it will be paid cuz he is so loved and deserves a good life as he had a real bad start! we never read fine print but they say you learn from your lessons!!! here is a pic for everyone to adore!

we did ask the vet if we were being sellfish by keeping him going as his quality of life aint so good at the moment due to pain but he said once we actually get to the bottom of the prob with his leg all will be ok. will let you know how he gets on monday. please keep everything crossed!!!!

Oh, he is so handsome! We are all pulling for you and your family and send our best wishes!

I hope your dog gets ok. I think he will be. I have my fingers and toes crossed for your dog. My heart goes out to you and your doggie..
