Hi All,
I recently set up a 45 usg tank with a Penguin Bio Wheel 200 Filter. There are two media slots (cartridges) but it is required to only use one. My question is, would it be beneficial after two weeks of running, to add the addition media in anticipation of changing out the first? In my head, which is a frightening place, I'd be keeping all the necessary bacteria in check and not run the risk of de-cycling (sorry if I'm using the incorrect wordage...I'm a newbie  )? When I take out the first, I'd push the second to the front slot get into a cycle of adding an additional one within 2 weeks - swapping within another 2 weeks - lather rinse repeat style..

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kris

Well i have the 150 and what I'm doing is moving the cylced front cartridge to the second slot, and putting the new on closest to the bio wheel so it gains bacteria. after 2 weeks ill get rid of the old one and continue like u were saying.
