I have a 10g tank and I am upgrading to a 29g. I have an oranda gold fish in my 10g and he needs a bigger home. I have filled the new tank and add the water conditioners. I added the gravel and all the plants from the 10g. I also borrowed 2 plants and a piece of the fiber media from another 30g tank. I am trying to keep the new tank from having to cycle by adding bacteria colonies from the other tanks. Is this how you do this? I also am running the new filter on the 10g tank and I put the 10g filter on the 29g hoping to get some good bacteria that way(I will switch them tomarrow). How soon can I move my gold fish? I am thinking after 24hrs. what do you think?
