I cant say I'm a big fan of small fish, but one tetra in particular really deserves to be in most peoples tanks, the Black Phantom. They are a little gem when settled in and coloured up and are a great contrast to the reds and yellows of other fish.
Here are some pics of the little guys I added to my South American tank, they were only in two days but already have begun to colour up. When fully settled in, the males are a fantastically black/blue with neon like pale blue highlights behind the gills and females develop red details on their fins.

Apologies for the bad quality of these first pics, its very hard to focus on the little fellas because they are so hyperactive.

Again, the blowing up and sharpening has destroyed a lot of detail but you get the idea.

Almost unrecognisable but shows the nice dorsal fin on the male.

I wish!
The catfish is a good ol' Ancistrus Bristle Nose plec.
The spots really came out because I had to use flash to get the tetras still...
