Big Wound like area on my zebra danios

This morning I noticed a big red patch on the gill of my zebra danio, and I thought it just hurt himself on a rock or so ... however, right now I've got 3 danios showing this same thing, I'll try and get a picture of it soon and post it here ... has anyone got any idea what this might be?

I'll check my water levels in a minute

It sounds like a Bacterial gill disease, or the worse case is Branchiomyces (gill rot). You need to treat the whole tank ASAP with a strong anti-bacterial medication.
Imo eSHa are great for medications, as you are in the Netherlands and they are based ther try their website http/www.aquabase.org/vendor/view.php3?id=28 (in dutch)

Thanks Wolf, I think you're right there as well This morning we half medicated the tank against bacterial stuff already just to make sure it wouldnt get infected (we dont have stuff like melafix etc) ... so I'll toss in the other half of the medication as well and hope they'll be ok
