Big Shrimp

are there any types of big shrimp that wouldnt b eaten but big chiclids or are all shrimp eddible for these big things?

bamboo shrimp and giant african filter shrimp are large.

Both the shrimp Esfa has mentioned do grow bigger than algae shrimp but i wouldn't keep either with large SA cichlids like oscars as they will probablly eat the shrimp when it sheds its hard shell.

I had my Bamboo Shrimp with a single Female Kribensis,the Krib would attack it non stop to the point i took her out.

A big Cichlid would kill it in seconds (my shrimp is 5")

I doubt the oscar would wait till it moults!

depends what the OP means by big. If he's only kept guppies, then most cichlids would seem big.
