Big Filters

Hi everyone new to this forum and wanted to pick your brains over filters
i have been thinking about doin this for a while but was never sure about it so here goes i have a 6x2x2 run by a fluval fx5 and a 405. The fx5 is starting to play up and of course is out of warranty and the cost of repair is stupid so was think of running a hozelock bioforce 5500 and a titaian pump . With a uv as does anyone know if they will do a good job as they are not made to run a fish tank .

One thing I'd try to check when researching something like that would be the noise! (since its meant to be an underground pump)

Hi, what fish are you keeping in the tank?
In most cases you will want to make a cage around the pump so that the fish aren't sucked in.

As for UVs they are completely unnecessary in freshwater setups, and will not really benefit the tank as they would in a pond or marine setup
