Bichir

They can be kept with most fish unless they are small enough to be eaten
 
Not aggressive, opportunistic, they will eat anything they can.


I slightly disagree with this(although I agree that they aren't aggressive), I have a 9" & 7" with 2" & 4" gourami's, 2 x 2" BN plecs and an apple snail. They've all been fine with each other and my bichir's are very placid, even when it's feeding time and the plecs are near them they don't bother them, they don't seem to like food that moves LOL. It could just be that I'm lucky and my bichir's are too lazy to catch anything moving!
 
i have three bichirs, and i keep them with a knife and two oscars..they don't mind one another..but when they were younger my bichirs, or dragonfins, ate my mollies..so yeah, keep anything that can fit in their mouths away..
