So I got 2 sengalus senagalus (sp)about a month ago they were both around an inch and a half then now 1 has almost tripled in size since to around 4-5 inche and thickened up a lot the other has not grown at all. Should I seperate them? is one not getting enough food?

With most groups of fish, there are dominant members who will tend to grow quicker, as they will bully, get to the food first, as they get bigger they have more capacity etc...What are you feeding them? Is it enough for both? How big is the tank?

It definitely sounds as tho one isn't getting enough food...

Shrimp pellets and blood worms/tubifex works and there are frequently chichlid flakes in the tank they both eat some of. It is a 55 gallon tank with lotsa hiding places. I know he is eating I have seen him carry the shrimp pellets around and munch on em.

i wouldnt to much about it, ive had some bichir's that havent grown as much as others. As long as its eating all is good.

It depends how much and often you feed them. I bought mine an in. and 8 months later there 8 in. I feed mine every day alternating shrimp pellets, tubifex worms, and rosy red minnows
