Bi-orb

yes I have had a biorb, I used it for about 2 months, before swapping it for a 30 litre with a friend, my tank met her needs more than her own and vice versa

 I liked it, very good, biorb state it can hold more fish per litre than any other because of such effective drainage, I didnt test this, I only had my betta and the mollies in it.........oh and two teeny weeny tetras

I am getting it back in a few months once my friend moves to wales and can get her tank back, at which point I will need lots of advice to equip a great 30 litre tank of my own :)

surprisingly though the bubble tube causes very little water movement while oxygenating the tank, perfect for bettas I now hear  , but didnt know this at the time

edit: no matter how often I check those spellings cock up in the posted version :(

Thanks for your replies. I have 3 tanks at the minute. A 180l, 55l, and a really small 20l. My betta is in the small tank, I was just wondering about moving him to other quarters and wanted to find out what you all thought about bi-orbs.

Does anyone know where I can pick one up cheap?

I know what your saying, I use the term aquarium loosley. I just thought that it may be a nicer environment for my betta than the 20l rectangular one that he's in now.

The last series of Big Brother in UK featured a Biorb. It had two veil-tail goldfish in it at the start of the series, but within the first week the fish had been over-fed and one died. Then the water went green and you could hardly see the poor goldfish. It looked like a very cruel set-up with just a goldfish and a plant and no where the poor creature could hide. Rather like a metaphor for the whole TV series. But at least the humans got voted out - the poor goldfish was stuck!
