ive had my bgk since october it was bought as a 3-4 inch juvi and has now hit 9 inches :hyper:

thats almost an inch per month....

just wondered how other keepers have found theirs to grow

Only had mine a couple of months, don't think they've got much bigger they're about 7-8 inch.
Have to get rid of 1 i think, as they might hav been fighting

I've never seen them fight though...

You won't see them fight in the conventional sense.
Apparently they attack each other with their weak electrical fields.
I had 3 in 1 tank and it didn't end well

My one remaining fish is growing very slowly. Hardly anything in the 8 months I have had it.

When I and mine the initial growth was rapid then slower from about 7inches

what size is your bgk at the minute?

i guess they are like most fish and will eventually start to slow down in growth but im amazed at the growth rate of mine.

I've only had a couple of months, so i'm sure i will notice soon

Looks like i will have to sell 1 on, don't want anything happening to them.

I've had mine for just about a month, and I'm not sure he..or she has grown at all though it's still very early I suppose.

Initial growth was pretty rapid. It's around 9 inches right now and has slowed down in growth a considerable amount.
We've had our BGK for 2 years? now. I don't remember how large it was when we got it. Maybe 3-4 inches.

I love my BGF but unfortunately I knew little about them when I bought him - LFS obviously knew about as much as I did because I have a 60L tank and they said it'd be fine (I'm now finding out otherwise). He's only 3/4inch and I doubt he'll get much bigger. I was told by a much better LFS I've found not to shift him into my bigger tank because he's settled into the tank he's in now and it'll stress him too much.

Mind you he still seems very happy and loves his bloodworms!
