arrrrrrrrrrrr my male fighter has fin rot......is white spot remedie any good for this? if no have to visit local fish shop.........

No, white spot medicine is for white spot. Finrot is usually caused by a bacterial infection, whereas ich (white spot) is a parasite so two different kinds of medication are used. For finrot you want to keep the water extremely clean, maybe add some aquarium salt to the water (I recommend Doc Wellfish brand), and medicate with Bettafix, 1/4th the recommended dose of Melafix as bettas are sensitive to it, or get an antibiotic such as Maracyn. Melafix or Bettafix generally do the job for me, so I'd try that first before going to an antibiotic.
