on sunday i went to my LFS and found this lonely betta on its own. I asked about it and they said you can have it if you want it ( for free) so i said whats wrong with it he said hes not well his fins are ragged and he/she has had bleeding on his head ANd he didt swim much

i thought if i dont have him/her will die. So now i treated him/her alot of treatment and now he/her much better as no more blood on his/her head and now it swims much better

so im giving it to my cozin to look after :)

Good for you for trying to make the last bit of life as good as possible. I really hope you can bring him around to a happy healthy betta. Best of luck!

Awwww poor lil' guy, hopefully with your love and compassion he'll come around.

That was a wonderful thing to do! I really hope he makes a full recovery. By the way, I am absolutely    over your avitar. That is one fine looking Kribensis. I had a pair when I was younger and they are my favorite cichlid. I would absolutely get maxed out with cuteness when I saw them leading their fry. :*)

That's a nice thing to do. It's a shame that they weren't doing anything to help it, and just letting it sit there to die. Get some pics before you give him to your cousin. You know we LOVE pics.

Excellent work Blade118. We need more Bettas need more people like you!! :flex:

This is only a pic of the internet but this looks the same as him

hope you like

Blade118 you know you can stop the lps from treating bettas like that if you don't save them from the lps. I know alot of bettas will die but if you don't buy from them they won't keep buying them because the head person doesn't care how they are cared for they only care about the numbers.

so glad to hear you were able to cure him :) Take care and may he continued to bask in good health :D

Durbkat, my understanding was that Blade118 got the fish for free, in which case they were not in any way supporting the shop it came from and your comment is a little out of place -_-

while I don't agree with every thing pet stores do you can't blame them for not treating sick fish they can't spend the money on medicine and still make money from the fish(after all they're a business not a hospital). Also lots of the time pet stores get bettas that already have damage done to them because breeders wait to long to separate the males.

you CANNOT stop them treating fish that way because there is a never ending wave of ignorent customers ready to buy them in bad condition
