hey all,

right now i've got this gorgeous male betta living happily in a 5 gallon with two albino cory. These seem to be the only fish that he totally ignores, lol. I'd like to maybe move them all into my other 10 gallon and set that up as another community tank, but i was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with bettas, gourami and cory cats in the same community tank?

would the 10 gallon be too small for all these fish to be able to get along?

I'd eventually like the community tank to have:

1 male betta
3 albino cory
2 gourami

If i were to move the fish into my 20 gallon, i think i'd like that tank to have.

1 male betta
3 albino cory
3 gourami
some plecos? would they be okay in there?
maybe some frogs?

would my 20 gallon be a big enough space for me to have my female bettas in the same tank along with the 1 male betta? i of course would have plenty of plants and whatnot for them to hide in

i dunno, lol

No to the Gourami and Betta, they're too much alike and would fight. What kind of Gourami though? There are a lot ranging from dwarves to giants. Same with the Pleco. Some stay 3" some get over 30".

And no to the male and female Bettas together. Males must always be kept seperate from other Bettas, male or females. The only time males should be with females is during mating.

My dwarf gourami chases my betta around the tank, and I've seen him bite
the tail of the betta, so I wouldn't recommend keeping them together.

Now, my betta usually keeps out of the way of the gourami and stays in the corner
of the tank.
