It’s very odd, today, Samael ate his breakfast, and I waited for a while, then changed his water. Well, a few minutes after he was back in his tank with fresh water, he vomited up everything he’s eaten. I know it had to have come from his stomach because if the pellets were caught in his gills, he’d be dead.

So, it’s odd and I’m a bit concerned as to what would upset his stomach so bad as to cause him to puke, but there’s nothing externally wrong with him and he’s had no live food recently to cause any parasites or anything. Very unusual.

I've seen mine spit up too.
Most times, it's cuz they've taken something in that looked interesting to them, and they've spent a good bit of time trying to chew it up, then decided they didn't like it so kicked it back out.

I've seen them keep something in their mouths for several minutes before deciding it's not going to go down to back out it comes. :)

Yes, I've seen it, too. My betta, Mettallica, vomits when he's eaten a piece of food that's too big, or not broken up. Yes, it's gold fish food, but it's fine for betta's if you don't give them too much of it. It's just extra nutrition.

I've seen it happen before too... Abrid always thinks he wants to eat these little black gnat things I feed them, but always changes his mind after he has it well-chewed and out it comes :|

Random tidbit of info: Mice and rats cannot vomit.
