I've seen some suggestions for tank mates for bettas, and mostly people suggest bottom dwelling fish. But I was wondering what other fish could happily cohabit with a Betta. What about these choices:

Neon/Cardinal/Glowlights
Platys - wagtails perhaps
Golden Pencils (I really love these!)
Danio (I know theres lots of types... any that would/wouldn't work?)

Assuming that size of tank isn't an issue, I'm purely after what COULD cohabit :)

Thanks

My Male betta co-exists just fine with an AD frog. He is a little currious about it but for the most part leaves him alone. My daughter put a white cloud in with him once and he did not like him in there, kept nipping at the little guy. Others have said they should be Ok in there, but my experience says NO.

:dunno: Don't know about the others

If you steer clear of Zebra and Leopard danios they will be fine
I have a male betta in with Pearl danios and danio Roseus they are fine I also have one with Giant, Moustached and Bengal danios, there is no problems at all.

Choices on danios are
Pearl, Roseus, Blue, Glowlight, Giant
Moustached, Bengal and Danio Kyathit.

ehh most lil tetras can get a lil nippy, and bettas dont traditionally like other fish with a whole lotta color, but most libearers ( withe the acception of male guppys ) will do fine. ADF's will work,...thats all i can think of, just don't get anything bigger than the betta and it will be fine :D
