I have a 10 gallon and i have one angelfish in there and wanted to get some clownfish, or rosy barbs or something small and was wondering if a betta would be alright in a tank with others ?

a female u might get away with but not a male the angels nip there fins, altho some and a very few people have got away with it but i would say dont try a betta

Angelfish and bettas are both aggressive and normally do not get along together. I don't know about the other fish, :dunno: but betta's have very individual personalities. Some will not live with any other fish, others get along fine in a community tank. You just have to be prepared if you try to put one in with other fish, to take him out and have another bowl or tank ready for him just in case. :)

actually, Bettas and Angel fish CAN get along. at my lfs, they keep tiger barbs, serpea tetras, angel fish, female bettas all in the same tank.

hey thanks for the info, i dont think ill try it, i dont want my angel getting hurt

and yea i ment clown loaches, sorry about that

I would not keep tiger barb and angel fish together the barbs might nip at the angel fins
Chris

I'm surprised nobody pointed out that a 10 gallon is too small for an angel in the first place. Don't add anything until you can get your angel into a 20+ gallon tank.
