Yes, they can breed, just like any other animal on this planet, but they can't breed together....
 
To put it simply, no. Bettas can only breed with other bettas, or some other species (eg things like betta pugnax, betta bellica, etc. NOTE these are probably wrong, point it out but don't be meen :p)
 
No, Killifish and Bettas CANNOT have babies together. They are two different species with different ways of reproducing.

on here another reason they cant breed dont killie fish eggs have to be taken out of the water, and wait a couple months before hatching? betta eggs stay in the water
