Is having a current in the tank bad for the betta? I've heard mixed things about this.

my bettas weren't real thrilled about it, but didn't exactly hide away from it either. so i removed the ugf (basically and air stone shoved down a plastic tube, not real effective as a filter anyway). they don't need it, its not vital to their suvival or anything. if theyre in a larger tank, with other fish that do need it, it won't matter, there's room for them to avoid it if it bothers them.....

Where the river goes said:
depends on how strong the current is.
All my bettas are in 10g tanks with whisper mini-filters set on low. The current is so light it doesnt even have an effect on the bubble nests.
