BettaMax

I picked up some BettaMax yesterday because it was the first time I was actually able to get ahold of it and I'd seen people reccomending it.

My question is, should I do a 100% water change and treat the water with BettaMax for this fish ...

As you can see, his anal fin is damaged. This picture was taken a while ago, right after I brought him home from the LFS. I've been treating him with Splendid Betta (brand) "Betta Fix Remedy" and his fins seem to look a little less jagged, like they're growing back a big -- but I'm almost out of that stuff and I wondered if BettaMax would be better??

If he doesn't have fin rot now, the best thing for him to regrow his fins is sparkling clean water and salt, but most importantly the clean water. BettaMax would be used if he currently has fin rot or some other disease. BettaMax wouldn't hurt, but I see it as an unnecessary expense since the clean water and salt should do the job.
