I think you can set up a deep tank in a way that works for a betta, but I think a shallow tank works better because there is less wasted space. The betta will want to spend most of it's time near the surface.

Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides/ cornuta) is a great plant for Betta splendens. It's a floating plant but can also be planted in the substrate. It has lots of branches that the fish can sleep on.Any ideas for plants I can get that a betta would like

I already have a 10 gallon Setup not in use, but I have no room anywhere for that on my desk, or anywhere in my room which is why I didn’t use thatGo ahead and get a 10 gallon. Look on craiglist, petco, petsmart, amazon, or goodwill and you'll find a good deal. Then add some live plants, and maybe a small filter and a heater. You'll be better off and your fish will love you

Ok thank youYou can buy it online but I don't know of any places. You can try google and there are people on this forum that sell it. Maybe start a thread asking for Water Sprite. Someone might be able to send you some.
