I have a betta that looks like he has a sink place in his head with a white place in it. i dont think ick leaves a place that looks like a hole is getting ready to start. What could have caused it I took good care of him does anyone have any ideal what this could be and how would I even attemp to treat this? It looks like a little white dot that is sinking in that is the only way I know how to tell you all what it looks like. So if they are anyone who could help me out with this I would be greatful he was in my tank with over half of my fish the ones that I am real crazy about I already moved him out of the tank I just dont know what to treat him with or if it will get the rest of my fish sick.

well, just get a new one when it goes belly-up.
well thats not a very nice thing to say I am worried sick about my fish and I thought that is what this fish forum is here for is to help people not for someone to say something like that to me. You might look at things that way but I happen to care about my fish and if you are going to say stuff like that to people then mabey you might need to find you a different fish forum to go to.

Oh my, that is a horrible thing to say! I hope that Mr_Troy never has any pets (or children for that matter)....

Have a look at the different diseases listed in this site... could it be the 'hole in the head' disease?

aaaaaw fks&m's
I hope someone comes on and tells you what to do quick!
I know that the oscars get that hole in the head disease but I wonder about bettas
Maybe it is a scar of some sort if he did have ich before, my betta has a few dark spots where the ich was when he got it and I had a platie that had ich and after recovery her nose area was alot darker where the ich was the worst but nothing even resembling a hole
I hope everything turns out ok for your little guy

Mr Troy,

This forum is entitled Tropical Fish Emergencies for members to come here and get "useful" advice on treating their fish!!

While it is understandable that some fishkeepers have the "mentality" of "it's only a fish" many do not!!

Many of our members feel very bad when one of their fish become ill and prefer not to hear "get a new one"!!

Please understand, while I do not think you meant any harm with the content of your post, some members did.

It would be appreciated if such comments were to be avoided in the future!!

Thank for your understanding.
