Is there anything I can give my Betta that my head and tail tetras won't eat?
The reason I ask is I am still cycling my tank with 4 fish in (3 head + tail tetras and 1 simease fighting fish) and so am only putting four flakes of food in a day (as was the advice given to me by my LFS and also some people on this board). However, my tetras are pigs and steal all the food before my shy Betta can get it. What can I give him that won't get demolished by the tetras?? :look:

Bettas shouldn't be in with tetras, they'll tear his fins off. As for eating you should try hikari betta bellets, or feed him with tweezers so the tetras can't get the food first.

Everybody has told me that head and tail tetras are OK with tetras (its other kinds of tetras that don't get along with bettas). :S - I haven't had any problems with these two species in the past (Simease Fighting Fish + Head and Tail tetras).
He won't take the tweezer food! I've already tried that!
Thanks for the suggestion though I'll try the betta bellets.

THANKS! :hey:
