Betta With Hernia?

My betta Blueberry was fine lastnight, but ive just put the light on and fed him and noticed this lump. At first i thought it was one of his beard fins curled up, but its not, its protruding from between his beard as you can see. Is it a hernia?

It looks almost parasitic, like tick or something ; have you had a look to see if you can find whatere it was? It's very odd, I've never seen anything quite like that before.

yeah when it fell off it didnt move or anything so doubt it was anything 'living' in that respect. it was very pink when it was attached and after it fell off, but quickly turned quite black

thats just poo. nothing to be worried about. usually betta poo is like a plop, and not a "tube" like other fish, nothing to worry about, just make sure you arent overfeeding. bettas are prone to constipation.

just poo, if you've been feeding him blood worm or red colored foods, it will be that color
