hey. I have two bettas, and the black one I've had for maybe... two months? he used to be fine and healthy (except one gill kinda juts out funny but i think its an injury). Lately he's been acting weird. He sits at the bottom of his jar all the time and kind of gasps for air with his lungs. The only time he takes moves is when he comes up to take breaths at the surface. His stomachs a bit bloated (not to 'pinecone' state or anything tho) but he eats fine, altho I have stopped feeding him/onyl feeding him a little bit for a while figuring he might be constipated. But now I doubt that. His condition has just been getting worse. The color on his body is kind of dull, with vertical stripes.

Oddly enough, at the same time, there are some positive signs. This morning I woke up and there was a little bit of a bubblenest at the surface.

I have put a little bit of aquarium salt (as i always do) that is supposed to help with gill stress, and a little drop of Coppersafe because its the only medication I have.
What to do? any help ASAP appreciated.... i think this fish is dying.

*boot*PLEASE SOMEONE HELP. I THINK MY FISH IS DYING...
I dunno what he has it sounds like dropsy except that he isnt pineconed and he breathes really hard?!!
^^^^

Dropsy is tough one. But its rare, so is it possible he in infact constipated, or over ate? A bubblenest isn't something one does when dying :p
