Betta With A Funny Looking Gill

my baby boy, shadow's right gill is sticking out funny. it's not right against his head, but just popped out a bit. he's not gasping for air or anything and he looks perfectly fine other than his gill. is it a big deal or no?

Check your stats to make sure it's not bad water quality causing it.
