I found a person on aquabid that makes acrilic tanks, and am finding out how much it would cost for 4 10x9x9 tanks with lids. This would be three US gallons each if you only fill the water 7-8 inches high. I'll keep you all updated on prices and stuff in case you'd be interested in getting some as well... right now he's got betta 'barracks' posted up, and maybe if we can show him there is a demand for better tanks, he'll wean away from those? worth a shot I figured. ^_^

I think its pretty... IDK about size or the Under gravel filter though, since I don't have my CM to Inches converter handy. ^_^ I've never used an UGF before, so I wouldn't be able to say much about that.

The price on the tank 10x9x9 with lid is $20.00 each plus shipping.

:/ I don't know.... they would be able to fit on my second shelf a lot better than some of the slightly taller tanks, but that still sounds pricy for Acrilic... does that seem a littly pricy to you all? I'm also wondering with shipping if it might get cracked. (I know my local UPS is not the carefullest with packages... I worked there for two days before I quit. XD)

i was thinking a aqua one 320 would be a gd betta tank maybe divide it aswel what u think?

i have this tank, i think it's too narrow for dividing really.
i have 2 in fact
but haven't used either of the filters that came with them (one came with an internal filter, the other an undergravel) aqua one filters are a bit rubbish.
i have Fluval 1's in mine.
the bettas have in each (one each) love it.

Maybe talk to your local glass company. They usually stock acrylic too. I get glass for picture framing from them and had to set up an account which was no problem. There's glass caulking which you can get in the hardware store and I noticed Petco sells it. You might be able to make many of your own to your own specs. Gives me some ideas too...hmmm.....

If you don't mind a bit of mental maths and glass cutting, asking glass shops for any of the larger offcuts they have is a (usually) free option for glass tanks. The sizes might be a bit odd, but with a bit of cutting, tanks are fairly easy.

I don't have the tools for cutting glass, and am quite inept when it comes to arts and crafts ^_^ There is only one glass store within a 50 mile radius of where I live that I can buy glass from, and they are a little pricy. Plus, If I made my own I would worry to death about it springing a leak while I'm gone... and I don't know how to work with Acrillic to make my own.
