Alright,
I am setting up my first betta tank, other than a couple of years ago when I had one as a child. Now i'm 14 and I want to start my own betta tank. I have a 3 gallon tank, and I put washed gravel in it. I put the dechlorinator, and also a little bit of salt. I was going to let the tank sit for a couple of days, and now it is day 3. The water has become sort of cloudy, and I don't know why. I am planning on cycling the tank before I put the betta in, so I will add ammonia today. What I want to know is if I should do anything about the cloudiness yet since there are no bettas in it.

If you're going to cycle it, I wouldn't worry about the cloudiness quite yet. If it's still cloudy after it cycles (which it shouldn't be), there are products that take out the cloudiness. Could just be the overload of things in the water. Are you going to use BioSpira to cycle or something else? If you don't have testing supplies, most fish stores will test your water for free to see if the cloud is something else. Keep us updated when you get your fish!! :)
