Betta Tank Size.. :/

This was my previous tank I had my betta in, 0.5 Gal.

I just bought this one now.

It is a 1.77 Gal Tank.

I was wondering if that was fine, or is it too big?

Anyways my parents are complaining that it is too big and bettas do not need that much room. They told me that they should just be kept in those betta hexes.. I told them that the betta has more room to swim and move, plus I didn't want my betta living in that tiny tank.

Well, tell your parents that a betta CAN survive in one of those poo-tacular hexes, but that it will thrive with a bigger tank. It's water will stay cleaner longer and it will appreciate the space to stretch it's fins.

Although, that could get you grounded.
