betta tank mates

i have 3 veil tails, one in a 5 gallon, one in a 2 gallon, and sadly one in a jar just over 1 gallon. the problem is that the first two mentioned seem happier than the one in the gallon jar. the other two have huge bubble nests and he hasnt made one. would he be better off if i put him in my 20gallon tank planted with 5 neons, 5 cloud minnows, 4adfs, and 3 baby khulis? any advice please..

I'm sure I'll have disagreements on this one, but I wouldn't put a male betta in with anything, ever. I know people who have and it's been very successful, but you can never predict what will set off a male betta, which would make me nervous about the whole thing.

This is ONLY my personal opinion, and like I said - other people have done it successfully....

I'd probably pick him up a little 2 gallon tank also.
