I woke up this morning, turned on my fish tank light to look into my tank and I see my betta lodged in the filter. It’s a 5 gallon tank, and the opening to the filter is very small. Somehow, my filter has stopped working and my betta has found his way in through the tiny opening and got stuck. As soon as I saw I got him out and he’s just at the surface completely still gasping for air. He’s not interested in food what so ever. He has a slightly lifted scale on one side, but other than that he doesn’t really have any injuries. Should I be concerned for his health or will he recover.
