hi all

i live in england and i was wondering if it was possible for a betta to live at room temp in england without a heater. in the winter my central heatings always on.

any input would be grand ta
 
Most people would suggest having a heater just because sudden changes in climate, while annoying to us, can be bad for the betta.

You should monitor the temp in your apartment, if it drops and rises often, you should have a small heater at least for stability.

My friend's house always has the heater or the air conditioner on, so her house temp never changes, so she doesn't need heaters. The same may be true for you.

Maybe you could put a small thermometer in his bowl and gauge what the temps are. If you notice a big fluctuation you could get a heater.
