I'm not sure if this is true or not but someone once told me that you didn't have to cycle a betta tank, is that true?... wouldn't the ammonia and nitrite hurt them?

If you do 100% water changes weekly,then you don't have to cycle. If you'd rather do 25-50% weekly changes using a vac,while leaving your betta in his tank then you can have a cycled tank. Cycled tanks are best for pet bettas.

I do 100% water changes every 4 days, and my bettas are very healthy.
