Betta plus Snail

The LFS gives me free snails from their plant tanks for my puffers to eat but my puffers are still pretty small and today I got one bigger snail that looks sorta like a ramshorn instead of a pond snail. I don't really want to feed him, I was wondering if he could live with my betta?

Oh even if the betta makes dinner out of him i guess it won't be too bad because the snail would have been eaten either way. I just want to know if it's safe or not.
