Hey!

Ive just bought a digital camera!! :D I couldnt work out how to get the pictures on here... im not so good with computers!lol Ive set up one of those MSN community things as they're easy!
Anyway, im in the process of putting my fishie pictures up there! :D Ive got a couple of my betta on there already! If anyone wants to take a look here's the link : http://groups.msn.com/JesssPage/fishpix.msnw

I know he's nothing special but i think he's pretty!!!lol

The pictures aren't very good quality as im still learning with the camera.... and one or two of my other fish are old ones that weren't taken with a digital camera so aren't great either!! Anyway, if anyone wants to take a look, let me know what you think... anything im doing wrong for example!?!? lol

Thanks, Jess

He's beautiful

You can upload pics saved in a jpeg format, right here in this forum. OR,using the way you've done it. Right click on the picture you've put on msn and click on properties, highlight and copy (by right clicking the highlighted area) the address (URL) then when you're posting here click on the IMG tag and paste the URL address in there and your pic will show up on your post

ok, i tried that and it didnt work!!lol Said that the image extension is invalid!!! Weird!!!

How is that EKIP Thermofilter working out for you? I'm considering one myself.

Thanks Munch! :D Im terrible with computers!!!lol Those pictures are really fuzzy aren't they!??!lol Nevermind! :)

Asmack - Do you mean the big black filter thing? It's an interpet TF1! Its quite good actually, its an all-in-one thing which means it takes up less room, but its not so good with smaller fish!! I lost a little neon in it a few months ago :( But it seems to keep the water clean and warm! :D Id recommend it for bigger fish! It's also a lot cheaper than buying it all seperately!

Thanks for the reply, Jess! I understand Hydor makes a version of the Thermofilter for Interpet, which is less expensive than the one with the actual 'Hydor' brand name. I wish we had Interpet here in Canada.

Anyway, would you say that the flow of the filter is too strong for a betta? I'm considering one for a betta in a 5 US gallon tank. I also hear it is a bit noisy with the aerator on. Has this been your experience as well?

Thanks in advance! :)

Hey Asmack,

I have that filter in a 10gal and its been great - the flow is very adjustable - from Really slow to quite strong - i have mine kind of in the middle and all my fish do fine. I havent actually got the betta in there at the moment as he's very aggressive, though when he, and my previous betta were in the 10 gal (not at the same time obv!!) they seemed fine and had no trouble with the flow. Im sure it would be fine in a 5 gal! And, i dont know where you heard about it being noisy!! mine is REALLY quiet!! My tank is in my bedroom so obviously i have to sleep with it on and i barely hear it! I would definately recommend it! :)

Linden - Thank You! :D My betta may be a 'mutt' but i think he's pretty!lol And he's so aggressive - its cute!!! he even picks on the snails that are in the tank with him! :D And he bites me if i put my hand in the tank - adorable!!lol

The shark is really sweet - and quite friendly too :) im just putting more pictures of her up on that page - i think the newer pictures came out better!lol Ooh, if anyone looks on that page - go to the other album and have a look at my horse!! he's gorgeous isnt he!? :D lol

The African Grey Parrot is that one of the parrot's that can live up to a few hundred years? I know there are a few of the parrot's who can live like 300 years, sounds crazy but its true. :kewlpics: by the way

Hey Linden,

Thank You! :D African Greys can live around 50-60 years in the wild - though they probably could live up to 100 i guess!! Usually in captivity they only live around 40 years though! Indie's only just a year old so i havent got to worry just yet i hope!! :D Isn't she cute!? lol

I think the Hyacinth Macaws live a LONG time but they're very rare!!

Jess

Thank You! :) They can be cute when they want to be!!! Think im addicted to my digital camera though... taking LOADS of fish pictures!!! its fun! :D

Id LOVE a macaw but they're SO expensive!!! Hyacinth macaws cost about £12,000! I'd better start saving! :D
