Would an Apple Snail be ok for a betta tank mate? If so what do I feed them? Thanks in advance :good:

Should be fine, although bettas have been known to much off eyestalks and the like... Feed them on veggies like cucumber or lettuce.

I only want 1 snail. do u think I will have problems with one seeing that I have just put live plants in both tanks? It's a toss between apple or trap door snails

Apple snails are fine in planted tanks. They won't chew on most plants, but they'll eat the algae off of them. :D Another added bonus. There is one bad thing about snails. They're poop machines, so watch your ammonia levels, etc. They're lots of fun to have. Should you use aquarisol or something like that for velvet or to prevent velvet, you don't want to put the snail in there, as it will eventually kill the snail. I feed mine romaine lettace and algae disks. They seem to enjoy those. I also throw a chicken bone in there every now and then for added calcium. :)

Your supposed to feed the snails?
I dont I let them eat what the fish dont.
my bettas attacked my snails for the first few days now they leave them alone, sometimes bothering the snails
