betta nose dropped off!

Bif my female betta looks like her nose has fallen off.Her nose used to be pointy like other females but now it looks like a big hole.Today shes been really depressed but i dont know if thats because of the hot weather or shes ill.Her nose has been like it about 2weeks and shes been ok.Anyone help?

It sounds like mouth fungus, which is actually a bacterial infection. If you don't treat it quickly, it can rot the whole face away until it dies. I suggest that you quarantine and treat it separately as mouth fungus can spread. You should be able to find a few good bacterial medications in your local fish store.

I thought it might be kind of fungus but i had another fish with mouth fungus and it went really furry and horrible and hers doesnt seen to look sore or anything.Ive noticed though that after ive fed them she seems to clean the bottom of the tank like they do and she really digs into the sand and orniments so i thought it couldbe that either.
