We got a betta that is sitting at the lower right corner of his tank. He's been there all night. Nothing physically looks wrong. We just started battling a case of ick in another tank that he was in till I identified the ick and moved everyone out. He does have his tail in shreds though, and we can't figure out from what. Parts of his bottom fin are inflamed, but there is no white stuff on the edges. Any ideas?

i would try a water change, make sure it is the same temp and some bettafix, or melafix. they are the same thing but different strengths to make treating small betta bowls easier. i have one recovering from fin rot now and this is what i did.

Great advice from karrihug! waterchanges can work miracles with bettas make them often and a lot of betta problems just dont happen. :)

He's in a tank with a bunch of scaleless fishes and there's ich floating around. There's no white stuff on his fins, they just look like they've been eating. Water changes come every 2-3 days. He's looking a touch better... :/

Good advice, sometimes all bettas need is a good ol water change. If you could, buy him some Indian almond leafs. It would help him relax and he'll be good in a couple of days.

it because it has a problem but you cant sort it out a betta gets these alot and then they past away it called stomach bumps
theis nothin you an do but sit and hope
