Is it ok to keep a betta and Khuli loaches in the same tank! I was thinking of getting a few corrys to go in a tank with my betta but then I thought of khuli loaches would they be suitable to have in the same tank? Its only a thought I was having! Your opinions would be appreciated

I heard of someone who had a small kuhli in the tank with their betta, unfortuantely the betta thought it was an especially big worm and tried to swallow it whole, guess who lost .... fortunately the owner caught this attack in time and manage to save the betta but not the kuhli (it died shortly after).

So I think the answer is no.

I have corry's in my female betta tank with no problems however with no problems.

Khulis and bettas are fine together... unless you have a freak midget khuli like Amerce is talking about I guess
They're normally too large for a betta to even think twice about eating.

I think a betta could do some serious damage to a khuli if it really wanted to, but overall I think you'll be okay. My khulies live with a tank full of punky krib "teens" and they're bold as brass- just out and about more than I've ever seen them in the years I've owned them. I suspect they either take comfort in numbers or they love the danger.

But, I wouldn't keep just one khuli and a betta together. If you can, get several khulies, provided you have adequate space.
