One of my girlies jumped out of her tank last night. The weird thing is. She managed to jump out of the little hole by the heater, go around the tank, across the desk, off the desk and died underneath the desk. Also there are no dried or wet water marks on the desk. I'll post pics of the route she took, let me know if its possible or f someone (like my roomies) may have purposely done it.

Did you check the tank lid? Maybe she flopped around up there before falling off...

:( im sorry she died.

mine did something VERY similar a couple of months ago, she jumped out the same size hole for the wires etc. then somehow traveled round the tank across the windowsill and onto and across the floor.. she was there for about 1.5/2 hours, she was all shrivelled when i found her stuck to the floor.. but shes made a full recovery and is nearly ready to leave the hospital tank and return to hers!

If you really think that badly about your roommates, then you need new ones. :p I would think that the lack of water marks means nothing. Bettas *do* jump out of their tanks...alot. I mean....alot.

:-( RIP little girl

I really doubt it was your roommates - that would be horrible! Bettas can and do flip around and can end up in wierd places. She could've jumpd and landed on the hood, then onto the floor. I'm so sorry, again, Kylie.

I agree with the above people. I've seen fish jump into filters and out of tanks into weird places. Sorry you lost one of yours. :-(

BettaBum873, I would put some fabric mesh or something to wrap or cover the hole around the heater. Just in case. :/
