but what is some info on bettas? how big do they grow, what temps do they need?

and what group of fish do they fit into? is it just betta!

Average 2 1/2 inches for splendens.

74-82 F, I keep mine 78-80

As far as tank mates go, I personally think they do best on their own with external stimulation, ie another betta nearby. A lot of them do well with cories or ADF's, some will work with tetras in full communities, others won't tolerate any tankmates whatsoever. Every betta is different, so always have a back-up plan for housing.
