Betta Housing

Would the filter in one of these...http/www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/22430/product.web be ok for a betta? Or would I be fine just using something like this http/www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/14360/product.web without a filter and light? Thanks!

its ok to not have a filter or heater in a betta tank, as long as the room temprature is good. i dont have either but i keep my betta in the attick which is very warm. if you do get a filter dont have a strong flow on, and if you dont have a warm room in the house get a heater

The filter in the top link is fine. I have it. No problems. But, yes, it's ok to go unfiltered, as long as you have a strict water change routine.

Personally I don't like stagnant water so I would go with a filter. That tank would do just fine. Just make sure it doesn't suck in his fins.
