I think I already know the responses I will get from this, but I am going to throw it out there anyway. I know I'm probably looking for trouble.

Since the removal of Booker from my 20 gal tank after his killing spree, I now have a very empty looking 20 gal tank. I have planned for some time to either divide it up for betta boys or use it as a community tank for betta girls whenever it became empty. I now have 5 zebra danios, 1 dwarf gourami (who is psycho, he doesn't bother anyone, he just swims back and forth at the side of the tank all day long) and a bristlenose plec in the 20 gal. I would love to get 4 female bettas to put in there, but I don't know how they'd do with the danios. My danios have always been very peaceful and were never fin nippers with Jericho or Booker, but I sure don't want to have any other mass murders in my tanks.

Does/did anyone ever have danios in with female bettas? If so how does/did it work out?

:dunno:

-_- Oh no! Well, since I really don't want to get rid of my danios I guess I'll have to keep the betta girls on hold.

I just thought of it because Meijer had females the other day and one was obviously sick. If I'd had a place for her I'd have gotten her, but I had to settle for telling the clerk. I doubt that he did anything about it since she wasn't dead. She was just hanging in the water breathing heavy and had the start of fungus on her back. I haven't been able to stop thinking about her. :-(

I'd thought about what a good hospital tank it would make for a sickly little girl. I was just hoping I could get her some friends to keep her company after she recovered. :)
